Hiphop beat, trancey mood.
In a rusting universe.
A quickee demo I whipped up using Spectrasonics’ new Omnisphere instrument, the successor to Atmosphere, with an incredibly broadened palette.
Short and plaintive. Quartet for violin, viola, cello, and double bass. Vienna Instruments Solo Strings.
Title says it all. Reaktor, Atmosphere, Absynth, EWQL SO Gold XP Pro, EWQL Symphonic Choirs, StormDrum, Stylus RMX.

Kosta Potamianos describes it thus: “After an odd, frolicsome evening encountering a friendly, paranoid gecko — chasing him this way and that through brush, dale hole and bramble, the penguins wake up the next morning to find three of their members dead, felled by invisible means, their flippers missing. The penguins bury their dead, and march mournfully on against a red setting sun, their thoughts haunted and their motions numbed by the spectre that their journey has entered a sober, darker phase, with unknown perils await. “
Recalls the melancholic urban mood of Shaft and various other 70s cop/detective movies, if in a trippier, modder way. Doepfer, Colossus, EWQL SO Gold Pro XP, Vienna Instrument Solo Strings, Stormdrum, Camel Phat and Camel Space filters, Stylus RMX.
Melancholic, nocturnal, contemplative. RD-700 electric piano, EWQL SO Gold XP, Colossus.
Hypnotic, pensive, retro-future, gradually builds and grooves. Atmosphere, Cwejman S1 Mk2, EWQL SO Gold Pro XP, Colossus, Kontakt, Kick-Ass Brass, Stylus RMX.
